It's all coming together

The Alchemy of Archetypes is entering it's final stages. I'm up to my 3rd "final" draft, whatever that means and the I am past the stage of major re-writes, reconfigurations and introducing new concepts. Now, it's time to finesse, check for consistency and enjoy the process that will allow me to let the baby bird fly out into the world of agents and publishers.

Looking back at my blog posts, I notice a pattern, work on things until they are completed to my satisfaction (for now), then move to another project to allow myself time to gain perspective. I am a perfectionist at heart. I acknowledge that. I feel as though I'm keeping my little ones home just that bit longer so that when they do enter the real world, they are as ready and as developed as they can be.

Some authors aim for volume. I aim for the best work I can produce. I can live with that.
