Alchemy of the Soul

I needed a break from fiction. I needed a break from children's books and the time felkt right to pull together all my ideas regarding Jungian psychology, Archetypes, Positive Psychology and the Tarot as the perfect Archetypal Framework.

When you've been involved in a project like Stormhaven for so long, a certain amount of time is needed before I can perform an objective edit. Every word spoken, every scene, every word on a page represents a moment of clarity where you feel that you've lifted the veil and walked into the world of your creation. The only way to be circumspect is to put distance between the work of an author and the work of the initial proof reader and editor.

Other professionals will be engaged to complete the process but unless I've reviewed my own work at least 5, 6 or more times, I do not feel that I'm putting my best efforts forward. That is where I had reached with Stormhaven. That is why I've moved on to other projects. That is how the process works for me. I'm sure other writers work differetly, but having been doing this for about 10 years now, I know what I need to do to create the best books I can and I now give myself permission to do what's right for me.
